Backing up your Android apps and data is very important as an android user,How to do Android Phone Apps&Data Backup to the Cloud? there are many ways to backup your phone apps and data, the major ones we are going to look into is Backing up your Android Apps,data,files,e.t.c. to a Cloud Storage service.
What is a Cloud Storage Service:- To a person not familiar with technology terms, you would think Cloud Storage is a storage present in the cloud above the sea surface which is very funny but truth be told am not trying to make fun of you, because you wanted to learn that is why you are reading the post and i would not like to waste your time. A Cloud Storage is a remote web space provided on a live server for documents to be stored and made available to users over the internet, there are many companies providing cloud storage services some of them are Dropbox , Google Drive, One Drive, Box, Copy and many of them, They all provides reasonable amount of space to each of their users with limited features in which might prompt you to go for their premium offers where most if not all of their features will be unlocked depending on the plan you subscribed for. Dropbox is the most popular cloud storage service used on both Desktops and mobile phones followed by Google Drive.
Google primarily provides you as an android user the ability to backup your phone data to your Google account, I will walk you through the process if you do not know about it, if it is the other way round, you can skip this part and read how to do it automatically by scrolling a little bit down. How do i set up my Android Smartphone data backup using my gmail account;
Steps:-
1. Right from your Android phone home screen click the menu icon,
2. After Loading the menu apps, click on settings icon,
3. Select Backup&Reset option from the options,
4. Check the box that contains backup my data,
5. Scroll down a bit and select the Google account you have registered with the device, if you haven’t added any you would be directed to the setup process where you will have to either add an already registered Gmail account or create a new one,
6. After adding a Google account, scroll down a bit again and check Automatic restore,
7. You have finished the backup and restore process.
